Holy sh*t. Since we launched back in November last year we’ve knocked out an hour short of four days worth of music over 100 podcasts. That’s a heap of tunes, and that’s just the stuff that makes it out. For this milestone podcast we got a bit crazy - #100 features one track from every podcast we’ve ever done. That’s 99 songs in under 80 mins. Think of it as aural ADHD or bangers for goldfish, either way it was real fun to hear some of the best songs of the last year in one sitting. Hope you guys enjoy it, as well as all the other stuff we’ve been putting out these past 13 months. It’s been a blast and we’re looking forward to the next 13. A special thanks has to go out to all the people who make this site what it is - the artists who keep releasing music that makes you want to stomp holes in floors (and ceilings), especially those that keep in touch with us directly, the friends that give us way too much credit - spreading the word online and in club bathroom stalls, and to anyone whose put one of our mixes on and smiled.

Well I’m glad THAT’S over. Many listeners may not know, but as my day-job I moonlight as a charismatic U.S Senator from the state of Illinois. And I was recently elected president of the United States. Who knew that would turn into such a big time-suck?

Anyway, I’m back at the TOMMYK mixing desk, but not for long… New Years 2009, I’m heading overseas to scout for un-signed Victoria’s Secret models and Baile Funk M.C talent in the favelas of Rio De Janeiro.

No for realz, I am actually moving to Rio. So let’s get this Sydney-side synth out while it lasts, before I expand the Lords into a trans-Pacific tag-team and import/export conglomerate. There’s focus on the “import”.

Make sure you check the new track from our mates Heads We Dance. “The Human Touch” should be in every DJ’s christmas stocking, just in time for New Years Eve. Daft and Justice-y goodness that tastes great!

Sub-prime lending has even effected the Lords - i’m living off burritos, sleeping in and drinking heavily… wait, i take that back - nothing’s changed. Though i haven’t seen TommyK in ages - he’s probably out man-whoring (”contracting”). Whatever he’s doing - it must be important, his room’s full of placards and fake tan. Maybe we’ll see a change soon…

Sometimes you just wake up and realise that that day is the first of a new period - the beginning of a new era. Whether it’s a birthday, a new job, a new apartment or a new sense of extremely surprising sobriety (don’t worry that’ll pass). A time to put old injuries to bed and drink a a can of concrete.
